Part 4: From the Maldives to South Africa

c

Cruise 14 – (25 March 2024 – 3 July 2024)

Maldiverne (Male) – Chargos – Rodriges – Mauritius – La Réunion

From Male the capital of the Maldives with an international airport, we cruise on and enjoy life in the many southern Maldive atolls. We await a suitable weather window and sail south to Chagos – the British territory in the Indian Ocean. Here we enjoy the peace of the uninhabited atolls and wait for the storms in the southern Indian Ocean to blow away so that we can sail further south-southwest over to Rodriges, Mauritius and La Réunion. These three very beautiful islands are very diverse.

Cruise 15 – (8 juli 2024 – 8 november 2024)

La Réunion – Madagaskar – Sydafrika (Cape Town)

From La Réunion, we sail north-west around northern Madagascar to Nosy Bee. After which we cruise calmly south along the coast of Madagascar to Toliara. From here we then sail towards South Africa and visit Richards Bay, Durban and other ports, making as small jumps as possible and avoiding the many low pressures with associated storms. We visit South Africa while waiting for good weather to round the Cape of Good Hope and finally arrive in Cape Town.
