The plan is to sail for distant shores from July 3, 2022. There are currently several possible routes planned according to whether we are going to cruise for 3 years, 2 years or for 1 year, corresponding to the following plans: Plan A, Plan B or Plan C. As it seems that we can obtain a reasonable Coastal yacht master (Y3) coverage we go for Plan A or Plan B. The first part of the trip is identical for these two plans and the final choice will only be made well over a year after departure when the ship is located north of Australia.
The routes reflect the length of time and takes the annual variation of weather systems into account, as we want to avoid extreme weather.
Skipper’s wife Kirsten and daughter Mette joins as crew for one year of sailing. If the voyage is to last longer then there is a need for extra trained crew. Currently we are so lucky that Morten T. (with Coastal Yacht Master) wants to join of for the full trip. Therefore it seems that skipper’s dream is to come true.
